Richard's Story
I live in Durham, NC with my wife Jenny and 5 dogs and 3 cats. We've been married about 3 1/2 years.
I work for Duke Clinical Research Institute as a site monitor, which means I travel to hospitals around North America to train doctors and their staffs how to conduct different clinical trials. Jenny is a research coordinator for North Carolina Clinical Research in Raleigh.
After three years at CCHS, I spent my senior year at Middlesboro High School. I got a degree in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, then moved to North Carolina to work for Greenpeace. I lived in Phoenix, Arizona from about 1995-2001.

married by my uncle Eddie at a little log cabin chapel in the Smokies; being with my brother Steve at his wedding and the birth of his first daughter; hiking through the Grand Canyon for three days with Steve and our sister Amy; buying our first house; and spending my honeymoon with Jenny on Oahu.
These days I love to hike, camp, backpack, fish, travel, draw, paint, ride rollercoasters, hang out with my wife, play with my dawgs, play music, build stuff in my workshop, and work in my garden. I'm still a country boy at heart and I hope to have a home in the country one day.
We still visit my family in Knoxville and Tazewell about once a month, and we spend a lot of time in the Smokies and the Blue Ridge. Life is good.
