Richard's Story
Life
After moving from Ponca City, Oklahoma as a junior in high school, I graduated from O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans. I started college at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and continued at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. College was great fun and in reality I majored in extracurricular activities, from resident hall government to ROTC and service activities. After college graduation, I was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Since I had to wait for a slot at jet pilot training, I went to work for Procter & Gamble Manufacturing as a manager in St. Louis (13 months while I awaited my orders), serving as a staff engineer and production manager for Comet cleanser. In the Air Force I served as a B-52 Aircraft Commander, a space systems engineer, an Air Force base Director for Quality, a conventional war planner, Air Force Space Command Chief of Reserve Operations, and many other jobs during my 28 years of active and reserve service, finally retiring as a Lt Colonel in July 2004. During that time I also earned a Master's degree in Space Systems Engineering in-residence at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, Ohio. I've lived in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, Texas, California, Washington, Ohio, Michigan and Colorado, where my wife and I now live in Colorado Springs. After my Air Force retirement I worked for several aerospace companies, before forming my own companies. I've been ...Expand for more
married for over 35 years and have three great sons. I'm currently the President and CEO for FuelSaver Technologies,Inc, a company I founded in 2006 after discovering an incredible product everyone needs. We manufacture and market an amazing fuel treatment called DurAlt Fuel Conditioner that makes fuel combust more efficiently in all gas and diesel engines (average 8-12% improvement) and reduces emissions by up to 61%). This is an awesome product for improving engine performance, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and saving money for fleets and consumers. It works so well we offer a money-back guarantee on it. I'm also the former President and CEO of Eagle Aerospace, Inc, a company I helped found with some other engineers, that did Systems Engineering & Integration in the commercial and government space industry. My team of safety engineers secured NASA approval for human spaceflight for Project Orion, the intended follow-on for the Space Shuttle. I also helped found es2 technologies, inc, another systems engineering firm that supported multiple industry sectors. I'm an active volunteer in my community, and as an Eagle Scout, I give back by voluntarily serving local units, as well as District, Council and Region levels for the Boy Scouts of America. Currently I am the Western Region Chair for the National Jewish Committee on Scouting supporting scouting families in 13 western states. Make sure you don't retire from life when you retire from work. Life is whatever you make of it -- it's your choice!
