Richard's Story
Life
I've been busy...retired early, and loving life. I retired from public service after 16 years as a fire fighter due to a line of duty injurie. Made a good living selling my metal sculpture also. Can't complain too much. I've got a great woman at home after 20 years single. She puts up with my crazy ways, and lights me up a smoke when we are out on the bike. My Daughter is grown up, grandchild is 4, and I own a nice house in florida. I live on the golf course and hate to golf. I do visit NY from time to time but prefer the Keys and the mountains over the noise. I love to catch up with old friends and people that I have passed by in life. Got areal bad case of C.R.S. and love it when memories are jarred out of my hard head. After seeing the bad things that happen to people as a Fire Fighter all those years, I have a different view on life. I Take it one day at a time and take it ALL in. 3 years ago I lost a kidney to cancer. Got the (poop)scared outa me and gave up the butts and most of all my bad (good) habbits. Brother Herb lost his battle 4 years ago, and I am not going that way. He was just too nice and too good a man, so I will just stay around here as an ornry old da burn razen frazer.

A wood boat? Never in a million years did I expect duty on that scowl. I'll never forget my foot going through the deck. I'll never forget the dive in the bildge and the Macnamara's Caddy. Taco in the galley was a treat at times, he made the best shi_ on a shingle I ever ate. Honestly, I have not had it since, and have never event been tempted. What ever happened to Rock? Anybody know? Yeah, the time on the Exploit was a real trip to say the least. I do miss the guys I came to know as friends, even though my nicknamed sucked. Have not been called 'Yo Dick' since I left that god awful boat. So much for seeing the world! I did enjoy Portland Maine. I actualy have an urge (albeit slight) to return to the pier in S.Portland. My wifes brother has an office on the pier that all the sea gulls would gather and crap on us during muster. It is all condo's now, but I bet ya those Packard Heads are still where we dropped 'em. If any of you guys are lookin at this that served on the Wood Witch with me, I'd love to hear from you. Maybe even hook up again. Can't blast em down like we were kids though, had to quit that a while ago. We could drink coffee and rolaids, that' ok. Anyways.......FTN AND FTW !!!!!
