Richard's Story
Life
I enlisted in the Air Force right after High School and I retired in Aug 2004. I am a Systems Engineer for Braxton Technologies. I have moved around the world a lot and I really don't get back the NW very often. My wife and I moved to Colorado when we retired. This is where she grew up and where we met. We met in Estes Park, CO at a Beer & Blues Festival. I love living at altitude (our house in at 7313 feet above sea level!) so we get a lot of snow during the winter. We have a house surrounded by pine trees on a half acre of land. I got Scuba certified this year and I'm looking forward to many diving vacations in future. I married for the first time (and only time!) in 2001. My wife is a critical care/ER nurse. We got married in Las Vegas by Elvis (as you can tell from the photo). My wife and I enjoy travelling and we do a lot of it.

ody is doing well and I enjoy hearing from anybody from the class of '83, or anybody who may remember me.
Workplace
I am a Systems Engineer for Braxton Technologies. I am one of the engineers who help design new satellite command and control systems for the DoD and for NASA. The work is a lot of fun and I never thought I would ever do anything like this when I was in school. Many of you probably interact with our company and don¿t even know it. Our control system is the one used by the AF for the GPS constellation. So if you have a GPS in your car or a hand held unit we are helping you out!
Military
Retired! 21 yrs was plenty. It was a great career and I learned a lot and made a lot of great friends. I spent many years in Europe and enjoyed every minute of it. When I retired I was teaching satellite operations in California. It was a very rewarding job.
