We have 4 sons, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, scattered to the winds in Virginia, Texas, Kansas, North Carolina and Dubai. Arlington. We were fortunate to also have tours in Hawaii, Memphis, and Rota, Spain, and to visit Thailand, Russia and many parts of Europe. After Navy retirement I remained in Springfield, VA and worked in interesting jobs in space satellite programs, fiber optics, and other Navy programs, finally retiring in 1997 and returning home in 2003 and renewed many friendships with classmates, especially from fellow JM cadets. Currently I am active in the JM Cadet Alumni Association Board of Directors. It took nine years part time, but perseverance paid off and I earned a BS (Physics) from Old Dominion College in 1969.
