Life Actually, I have been blessed most of my life. I went into the Air Force right out of high school and liked it so much, I stayed for 24 years. I joined partly to follow in my Dad's footsteps as my son has followed in mine and joined recently. They gave me one of the most awesome jobs, meteorology (and yes, I am a Weather Geek). I was stationed at Patrick AFB twice and went from being a low ranking Weather Observer on the first tour to being a Launch Weather Forecaster and then Chief of Weather Station Operations on my second. I also got the opportunity to spend 14 of my 24 years in Combat Weather Operations supporting the U. S. Army. When I retired, I floated between working IT Contracts for the U. S.
