Richard's Story
Richard is from Oroville, California. He is married with Monique Oxford. His schools include Oroville High School, Las Plumas High School. He works(ed) at Union Pacific Railroad (retired) locomotive electrician. Also attended San Jauquin Delta College. Served 4 yrs. in the U.S. Navy, with 1 tour of duty in Viet Nam. Currently a 3rd Dan blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do karate, instructor: Oxford Tae Kwon Do, Golden State Karate Assc. Blackbelt Hall of Fame inductee (2006), GSKA tournement promoter, staff member, rules arbitrator & certified center ring official. 2 sons, Greg & Chad, who also work for UPRR as Locomotive electricians. 1 Grandson & 3 Granddaughters. As a result of many years involvement and training in martial arts I have had the honor of meeting many interesting people, besides the many martial arts friends I've made. For many years I was the PR person for the Golden State Karate Assoc. and the movie stars, so I had the opportunity to meet many movie directors, producers, stunt men and pro sports figures (football, boxing, wrestling, MMA and kickboxing). I have met & made friends with many actor/martial artists, such as Chuck Norris (I had the privilege of walking the red carpet alongside Chuck Norris once), Bob Wall (Enter The Dragon), Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Don "The Dragon" Wilson, Cynthia Rothrock, Karen Shepherd, the late Joe Lewis & many more. I have had a very active & blessed life. It has been a great adventure. I have only one real regret..
My oldest son Gregory, who is also a 4th Dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do karate, was recently also inducted into the Golden State Karate Assoc. Black Belt Hall of Fame 2015. We are very proud of him and his accomplishments.
