Life

Family - I married a woman from Baltimore, Vicki Smiley, in 1984. We had two boys, Dylan (1988) and Wyatt (1990). Dylan attended Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper Business School in Pittsburgh, majoring in finance. Wyatt is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania studying economics. Both spent their summers at various Wall Street firms as student interns. Dylan graduated in 2010 and is living in Manhattan (cool to visit but not my lifestyle) working on the trading floor of Merrill Lynch.
From 1991 - 2008 I lived in Egg Harbor Township, NJ (just west of Atlantic City). Sadly, Vicki and I parted ways in June 2008 (she bailed but got the house) and I spent a year living in an efficiency condo on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. The boys called it the ¿Man Cave¿ as it only had a bath, small kitchen, recliner chair, bed, stereo and a large screen TV) Small, but a really great place to rethink, recover and start over. Met Kathy Kraft from Cape May, NJ in Aug 2009 and in Jan 2010 I moved in and we are having fun "playing house" and thinking about retirement (next year maybe). Life in Cape May is very nice and looking back, I am better off.
Work places - From 1977 to 1981 I worked...Expand for more
as a counselor at Arlington Junior High School in Jacksonville, Florida. In 1981 I was hired by the FAA and sent to school in Oklahoma City for 4 months initial training then I was assigned to Baltimore, MD. From 1981 to 1984 I lived in Columbia, MD and worked as a controller at Baltimore Washington International Airport. From 1984 to 1990 I lived in Delmar, NY and worked as a controller at Albany Airport, NY. In 1991 I moved to NJ where I am part of a research and development team looking at future air transportation concepts (10 to 15 years out). Our team is located at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center which is located at the Atlantic City Airport with about 3,000 government and contract employees. Electronic mail is ATCOZ1 "the at sign" gmail " dot" com. I had to do the Facebook thing to keep track of the boys - I am there as "Rick Ozmore".
