Richard's Story
After VHHS I joined the Navy. While in the Navy, I married Jackie Payne, class of S62. We moved back to the LA area where I worked for Xerox Corp. During this time I attended LA City College and Valley J C. Jackie and I divorced in 68. I remarried and moved to Anchorage Ak in 75. In 79 I resigned from Xerox. Had a Sail boat built in Hong Kong and sailed it thru the Philippines, Japan and across the Pacific to Seattle. Lived in Seattle untill 86 where I was Gen. mgr. for Washington Stoveworks. arried a wonderful Woman from Everett Wa. in 88. Moved to Ft Lauderdale area in 88. In 90 we purchased a 60' sailboat and spent the next 4 years chartering in the Caribbean. After leaving the Caribbean, we worked as Capt. and Mate on private yachts until we retired in June of 06.
Lived in Pompano Beach, 5 miles north of Ft Lauderdale until 2017. Moved to Coeur D'Alene ID to be closer to Sharon's family. We love to travel and have been on 3 cruses this year, with 2 of them crossing the Atlantic, to and from Europe.
