Richard's Story

Hi yall, yes I am in the south. lived on a 250-foot ship for two years and saw half of the world. Then I lived in Florida for three years. When I lived in Florida in 1969 I saw the rocket take off to the moon.so I saw a little bit of history being made. . And then I moved to Georgia for fifty years. I live now in a little town called Toccoa. It's in the northeast corner of Georgia, close to the mountains. I am from the class of 64. Many do not know me nor remember me. I was always a shy person. And that makes me invisible. I fell behind in middle school is another reason a lot of you all do not remember me. The people that did were in the class of 63. I regretted that all my life but I had to play the act of a clown. In 1969 I started in my life role as a carpenter. And with some of the best people around to teach me and trade school and time, I finally became a project manager. After a few years, I became my own boss for 36 years. I built or was in charge of some wonderful projects. That will be around long after I am gone. Now I am almost 68 and I cut grass, do dishes, small repairs of any kind, and in the process of turning my house into a better one. I love GA. and hope to remain here. And the kids love to come here to visit me. After three divorces I married my teenage sweetheart Sueanne. She went to Proctor. And the reason I do not work anymore is I have two st...Expand for more
ents And so far I have both knee joints replaced., Compliments of construction. And my elbows are messed up also. But as you can see my fingers work. And I fell and crushed my right shoulder and a lot of metal went into that. There are a lot of people I do remember from both classes. And I hate it that so many had died. I just outline my life for those who wanted to know.. I hope this was entertaining for yall. An update on my life as of 2020. I am now dodging the new virus and hope I make it. And if anyone reads this " stay safe ". After 4 years of blessed marriage, I lost my wife to cancer in April 2015. And I just lost my cat of 20 years and 8 months. Well, I made 75 and the virus hasn't found me yet, but cancer has, I go to get it cut out. (skin cancer ) on the 15 th. So if you feel like wishing me good luck I would appreciate it, and if you feel like saying a prayer, I would appreciate that even more. .I will not write any more till my arm heals. Well, that is over. I'll have a nice scare on my arm. I survived. Well in a little over a week I will be 78. I did not expect that but a lot can happen before then. I am not to do any work, but I am still remodeling this house. I would like to see the finish product , but there are things against me that can not be stoped so it is all up tp God if I make it. Well, I hope I will be back one day to say, " I am still here ".
