Richard (Rick)'s Story
Life
It's been a long time since school. I've wandered a bit (a couple of times around the world...mostly working...but so far I haven't made it to Antarctica) and settled in Seattle in 1990.
A bit over a decade ago, I married the crush of my freshman and sophomore years. 25 years from first meeting to first date has to be some kind of record.
I guess some people are just slower than others. After all, it took me 34 years from my first college course to finally getting my BS! Hopefully the PhD won't take nearly as long.

School
Don't you love canned biographies? So what didn't get said...four high schools in three years and two countries. My biggest regret is being less involved with people than I would have liked. Well, it took a couple of decades, but I did manage to overcome near-terminal shyness.
Workplace
After 27 years working in radiation safety, I've branched out. I'm working on safety change programs and flight line safey as the biggest parts of my job these days.
