Richard's Story
Life
I presently live in Arroyo Grande, Ca (just south of San Luis Obispo)with my husband of 22 years, David.
We sold our home in Garden Grove in 2007 and moved to the Central Coast. I retired in 2005 from the Orange County Assessor after working there nearly 30 years.
I went to college in San Diego but did not graduate. After being homeless for a time in San Diego I returned to Garden Grove for a "short time". That was in 1971 and it lasted until 2007. I worked in various warehousing jobs until 1976 when I hurt my back and at that time started work with the Assessor.
Presently am a docent for the state park system in this area and volunteer with the loca...Expand for more
l chapter of the American Cancer Society
During the winter we volunteer at the Pismo Beach Monarch overwintering site talking to people from all over the world who come to see the monarch butterflies that have come to stay the winter in Pismo Beach. During the rest of the year we work thru the Morro Bay Natural History Museum to talk to visitors about the Southern Sea Otters that are found in the area.
I am a two time cancer survivor but in late 2013 the cancer returned. It has not been resolved as of yet.
