Richard's Story
Shortly after high school, I joined the Marines. I enjoyed my time in the Marines. I went to The Hague, Netherlands and worked at the American Embassy for a year. I left the service in 1978 and literally bummed around Memphis for a few years. At the end of 79 I packed up and moved to Nebraska. The best move I ever made..I met a great lady and we were married in 1986. For one reason or another I cannot have kids but my wife had two young kids that needed a father. So I became a dad to a 7 yr old girl and a 9 yr old boy. I didn't realize it at the time but this was the beginning of something great. 17 yrs ago my son, had a little boy. He's the closest thing to my on son I'll ever have. Austin is the greatest gift that has ever been given to me. Next month he will be 18 yrs old. He is 6' 5" tall and he wears a size 15 shoe. n't graduate from Trezevant. I went to school to play football. This is something that anyone that has known me won't believe. I was disabled, because of a back injury. During this time I went to a local technical school and picked up a degree. That lead me to another college and I received a bachelor's degree. Thank God for the degree because size 15 shoes cost a bundle. Austin has a little brother named Chase, he's a total nerd. A great kid. My daughter Deb has two boys. They are 4 and 2. Wild little boys. They call me P pa. College does not guarantee you a job but it sure gets your foot and little further in the door. For the past 12 yrs I have worked for a tour company. I work on tour buses. It's a good job. My wife, Donna is a nurse, and she is my better half.....for sure. I still play guitar and do a lot of fishing and camping. It's amazing how people can change. If you like to talk to me, send me a message. I'd love to hear from you.
