Richard's Story
Living my life pretty casually. I was married to a wonderful person. We had 3 children who very unfortunately passed away either at birth or during the preganancy period. My oldest daughter, Samantha Kasmier Stebbins, passed away during her birth on Dec.12th, 2000.
I enjoy travelling. especially to the BVI's, and to Costa Rica. I've been to the BVI's a number of times. The last time down there my ex and I rented a 48' tri-cat with another couple and just sailed around the BVI's for over a week. It was a great trip which I will do again. I can't wait to get back down to Costa Rica. I will in fact call Costa Rica my home someday.
I began surfing back in the early 80's and have been practicing the art ever since. My quiver consists currently of 11 surfboards ranging in varies lengths from 6' 8" to 10' plus. I try to get in as much beach and surf time as I possibly can. The line-up is my place to sort of worship. I'm there with the sky, water, the shore. Its just where I feel the most real and at peace.

Lake Michigan. It is nothing fancy that is for sure. And it is a work in progress. it is though very cozy and comfortable and it allows for a nice short walk to the lake.
I enjoy all kinds of hunting. From upland birds to waterfowl. From small game to big game. I recently welcomed a Vizsla puppy into my life. Her name is Kutya (Hungarian for dog) I'm hoping she'll turn into a solid pointer for upland bird hunting. Its all about patience and training. I also hope to get her out surfing as well . My most prized rifle is a 1937 Winchester model 71, 348 caliber rifle. I own rifles and shotguns of all calibers and gauges from bolt action, lever action, semi autos, side x sides, pumps, and over and under.
You know really, I'm just a regular kind of guy who has been able to partake in and do some extrodinary things. There has been some tragic and wonderful things in my life that have shaped me. I guess all and all, I'm just doing things my own way really. I've never danced to an average sort of beat. I stay pretty positive about what could be and what I have to share. By the way, my working profession is in the Human Resources field.
