richard's Story
Richard currently resides in Herndon VA in Fairfax County, just outside of DC. Prior to that he lived in upstate New York for many years after a 24 year stint in the Air Force at which time he was stationed at various states around the country and overseas as well. Trained as a combat medic, he was also licensed as nurse in New York and was a nationally certified EMT as well. He worked for many years for New York State after his military retirement, caring for the severely disabled. r away locations were not conducive to married life (divorced twice). He sold his house a couple years back; found a good home for his cat, and moved to Virginia for the more milder weather. Having been stationed at Andews AFB in DC back in the 70's, he was somewhat familiar with the area. But has always missed RI the most. Of all the places he'd been to. - - - - I think RI will always feel like home to me no matter how long I'm away. It holds a lot of great memories for me, and that sense of belonging just never seems to go away even with time (I left there in '72).
