Richard's Story
Currently an Air Traffic Controller in the tower at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, AZ. After high school, I joined the US Air Force and spend the next 20 years traveling and moving around the country. I was stationed in Arizona, Texas, Washington St, and Colorado. Also traveled to over 30 countries during my time on active duty. I retired from the Air Force in 2003 and now live just West of Phoenix with my wife and two boys. I have an 18 year old who will be attending ASU next year, and a 10 year old who wants to be the next great hockey player. My awesome wife is currently working on her Masters (she is WAY smarter the me) and taking and care of and keeping us boys straight. As a family we a diehard Phoenix Coyotes fans (NHL Hockey). I have been an Air Traffic Controller for nearly 20 years and love every minute of it. I don't think I could do anything else.
I was able to attend our class 10 year reunion, but missed my 20 due to the war in Iraq. It was awesome running into and seeing old friends. My older sister Kim (class of 81) and my younger brother Mike (class of 87) still live in Chicago area and I try to see or talk to them as often as posible. My younger sister Becky (class of 98) lives here in Arizona and is teaching first grade. My parents also live out here. We all got together last year here in AZ for a big Super Bowl party (go Bears!) To bad it couldn't have been this year when the Suber Bowl was in my back yard. I literally can see the Stadium from the back patio!
Miss Chicago and the folks back there but I will take my WARM winters to your snow back there any day!
