After high school, I moved away from home and on my own for the first time at 20. I worked and lived on my own until I met my husband in l978. We married in l979. Unfortunaly, my dad died in l977 and I had my favorite uncle give me away. I had my daughter in l982. She went to Wayne Schools for 3 years and started 4th grade at Mad River Schools. She graduated in 2000. During her highschool years, we went to band concerts, basketball and volleyball games and other activities with her. We cheered and rooted her on during her games. Man, I miss that! Line juding for volleyball and making those close calls no matter what team they would effect! Kept me young! Now, I hope to do the same with my grandbabies. My 7 year old granddaughter was cheerleader for the Mad River Pee Wee Football team. Man, it seemed like yesterday when she was born. She is now gonna be in second grade. She loves soccer and does very well at it. Scored 4 goals this year with 4 assists. Maybe we have a star here, hopefully. Cheerleading was too slow for her, she needs to keep moving so she decided not to continue with that. My 9 year old grandson plays baseball and will be in the 4th grade this year! Can you believe it? He is attending Northridge. He is at Timberlane right there by the High School. So, I have one grandbaby at my school and the other two at my husbands' school, Stebbins. Remember when they were rivels? This year he wants to play basketball so I will cheer him on with that too! Last but not least, my 4 year old grandson. He is just about the cutest, most loving little boy. He just loves his cars, trucks, football and all around mischief! I love them all. He is a real fan of Batman and wears his batman cape almost everywhere his Mom will let him. I'm going go to everything I can with them and attend all of the special events t...Expand for more
