Richard's Story

I attended OSU from 1968 to 1973, getting my BA, MA, and PhD in linguistics. I studied Russian, French, Spanish, German, Polish, Hindi, Sanskrit, Estonian, Tagalog, Breton, and other languages. First job as assistant professor of linguistics at Columbia and Barnard. Later shifted...Expand for more
into Computational Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence, teaching briefly at Hofstra University and then moving out to Seattle. I currently work on speech and natural language processing projects for Boeing. I met my wife, Sue Feldman, in 1970 and have been with her ever since.
