Richard's Story

Life Graduated from U of O in '68. Served in U.S. Coast Guard from '68 to '72. Graduated from Gonzaga Univ. Law School in '75. From '75 to '96 I was a deputy prosecutor, later a public defender/private practitioner, Shelton Municipal Court Judge Served as Family & Juvenile Law Commissioner, Mason County Superior Court from '96 to 2016. ve in 1973, receiving a direct commission into the JAG Corps. Retired in December 2003 at the rank of Captain (Grade 0-6). Served the final five years as a Military Judge doing court-martials wherever they sent me. Married 51 years! Two adult children: Doug is a public information officer for the State of Washington. Tainya teaches English and Spanish in a nearby high school.
