Attended a one-room school house (Stoney Run) in Dillsburg for 1st grade the second time. The first time was at Hillside in New Cumberland. Attended Northern Elementary in Dillsburg for 2nd-6th grades. Moved back to New Cumberland for junior and senior high schools. Went to Penn State York Campus for one year. Worked for the West Shore School District until July 1974. Teamed-up with older sister's husband to work at Dickerson's Prestressed Concrete near York until I joined the Army in February 1975. I went to Fort Knox, KY; Fort Riley, KS; Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD; Stuttgart, FRG; Fort Benning, GA; Duluth, MN; and Fort Ord, CA until July 1987 for my Active Duty tour. I had become a Born-again Christian on 29 December 1979 while stationed in Germany (FRG). I had stopped in Omaha, NE to visit a family who had "adopted" me in the Christian faith, whom I had met while at APG, MD. I had applied to Grace College while in Omaha, but continued on my way back to Pennsylvania. I received my acceptance letter there and had three days to return to Omaha.
