Retirement
Enjoyed the first 6 yrs of retirement, traveled by train across Canada and the US, beautiful scenery plus met many people from around the world. Spent 30 days sight seeing in Nova Scotia, nice area and friendly people. Traveled to Wisconsin several times to visit family and friends. Since 2009 we have not traveled.
Life
I received a 3 year BA from the University of Germany, Munich 1967. Spent 2 yrs in Viet Nam, injured, and now a disabled veteran. Spent 20 years in the computer field, semi-retired then worked as a 911 dispatcher and also as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff. Was forced to take a medical retirement in Sept. 2002 due to back problems acquired while serving in Vietnam. Have been married ...Expand for more
31+ yrs to my wonderful 2nd wife. Would like to hear from everyone.
I retired July 9th, 2004 at 59 1/2 and never dreamed I would go out early... Guess I did a few things right during my career.
Workplace
Retired July 14th, 2004 at age 59 1/2. Enjoyed 20 plus years in the computer field and over ten in law enforcement from reserve deputy to dispatcher..... Now to enjoy life.
Military
Spent over 8 years in the Army and traveled through out Europe, the US and Asia. I was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas, Fort Eustis, Virginia, Augsburg and Munich, West Germany, Bien Hoa and Vung Tau, Viet Nam and Camp McCoy, Wis. I received a Honorable Discharge on 1970 and then spent 1 yr in the Army Reserves in California.
