Richard's Story
Life
After RCHS, Valparaiso University, then University of Minnesota summers while teaching in northwest Indiana. Further studies in IT at the Institute of Education, University of London. Now teaching music and IT outside London.
Mariied Marcia Carlson November 2000. One cat.
Have sung with the London Symphony Chorus for three years, written a musical and had it performed to raise money for cancer research, musically directed over 100 shows, including being part of the Lord Mayor's Celebrations at the Royal Albert Hall. One of my memorable experiences was conduction and arranging for Sol Raye and The Worlds End Band headlining at the Shepherds Bush Empire - a reggae/big band fusing ska, lovers' rock and big band swing in the the of Nat "King" Cole - Sol Raye sounded just like him!
School
All the normal, (well...for RCHS), pursuits. Band and Choir, basketball and football; shows and concerts.
Dancing on stage in Chicago on the Thespians trip to "Hair".
Being unable to sing the correct verse to "Standing In The Need Of Prayer"...Expand for more

Band and Choir Tours...
College
Recently back in Berlin, visited the Kaiser Wilhem's Gedackneskirch and was a part of an international honor choir festival held in the SFB - the hall where University Choir recorded its broadcast for Radio Free Berlin in 1971. Interestingly, the choir rehearsed in the church in Berlin where we sang. It was deja vu, as they set up at the altar with the trees behind them just as we did. Saw some ghosts on that trip...
Workplace
Now married (2000) and was teaching IT and Music at ACS Hillingdon International School, west London. Was teaching IT and music in England - still doing shows and writing and arranging. Retired 2013 and moved to Wells, Somerset in 2017.
