Richard's Story

I always wanted to be a pilot when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a grand idea. As it turns out, they were right. I had started flying at 15 but when I joined the Marines my flying days were over. After the service I moved to Albuquerque for a couple of years, married Julie Marlo (was run down by a car drag racing on Memorial Drive). We were only married three years. Rest in peace Julie. Julie and I lived out in California, Ocean Beach in San Diego. We the marriage was over I brought her back to Lancaster to be with her mother. Before I got back to Albuquerque I wrecked on the motorcycle and have lived here in Lancaster since. I still have friends there though and plan next spring to move back. I have been fighting health issues for quite some time. Today I am studying for a Psychology Degree. I have a surgery coming up and don't know if I am going to be able to finish this term out or not. If not as soon as I heal up I will go back at it. It certainly will not be the first time I have restarted my plans. y leg I haven't been able to do much physically. I raised a dozen litters of Miniature Pinchers, still have three of them. Very good pets. I have one son. The biggest parenting advice I can give anyone is NOT to name your child *. Junior. He has messed up my finances in a huge way. I love him to death though If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to the Lord, and then spend the rest on family, traveling and a motor Coach. My current age is 57. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would have one foot in the grave. I was so completely wrong. I still dress like I was 21. With my Native American Indian heritage I still where beads and turquoise. I share my home with daughter-in-law, which I find a bit trying. In 10 years, I hope to be New Mexico. We are going to get there by spring 2011. I have been fighting health issues for quite some time. Today I am studying for a Psychology Degree.
