Richard's Story
Life
After graduation, I married my high school sweetheart, Mary Alice Bradley, and joined the military. I spent 26 years in the Navy traveling all over the world and have visited over 25 countries. I have three boys, Al, Mike and Brian, all of whom I am very proud of. I am now retired from the Navy and remarried living on 16 acres in the 'Big Bend' of north Florida. Military
Joined the Navy in 1966 and became an Aviation Electronics Technician. I was stationed in Cuba, the Philippines and Hawaii with cruises/deployments to the Mediterranean, Western Pacific and Alaska, as well as several assignments stateside. In '76 I volunteered to become a Naval Aircrewman and flew in E-2B, C-131F, C-130F and P-3B aircraft throughout my career. In '79, while stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, I was promoted to Chief Petty Officer. I will never forget Chief's initiation! Retired after 26 years in 1992 at NAS Fallon, NV.
