Richard's Story
Life
GOD WER'E OLD!!! Anyway, how did this happen to the 1967 class of W.C. Overfelt. I still remember being the first Mexican hippie to wear high mocassins to school. This was before our first trip to Haight Asbury in S.F. After I left Overfelt, I proceeded to San Jose State University and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. Afterwith, I went into the Naval Reserve Program for 6 years. Actual graduation from college did not occur until several years after high school.
I then went to work for the State of California (Labor Commissioner's Office and Department of Fair Employment...Expand for more
and Housing) for 14 years. In 1993, I started my own Human Resource and Labor Law consulting business and have been at this since then, specializing in wage and hour issues and labor standards.
Addendum to My Story: Attended the 1968 high school reunion at the invitation of so many good friends. It was such a blast seeing people I had not seen for over 40 years! Since I moved to Hanford California I did not have the opportunity to keep in touch but seeing everybody again gave me such an emotional charge.
For all those that have known me, please keep in touch.
