Richard Rexroad:

CLASS OF 1970
Akron, OH

Richard's Story

After high school I attended the University of Akron and graduated with a degree in Finance. After graduation I married Mimi, a 1969 North High grad and the cousin of John Sautner. We bought a small house on Highview Ave. in Firestone Park. My first job out of college was in banking. After a couple of years, I knew banking was not for me. While at the bank, I took a course in real estate appraisal which intrigued me. That's been by profession for the last 38 years, although I am only working about 20 hours a week now. Mimi and I had two daughters, Pamela(deceased) and...Expand for more
Andrea. We have three grandsons; Brandon (17), Aidan (13), and Ethan (10), and they are all into sports so we get to watch a lot of amateur sports. We also are season ticket holders for Akron U basketball. I still play basketball. I am in a league for over-50 men that plays twice a week. Though I am a pretty lousy golfer, I enjoy my Monday and Thursday night golf leagues. Mimi and I like to walk the trails of the Metro parks with our dog Duffy. Looking forward to retiring completely in 2017 and spending winters in our Virginia condominium or some other warm place.
