Rick's Story
After graduating from MCHS I attended 2 semesters of College at Port Huron JC and Macomb CC.
I then enlisted in the US Coast Guard (along with Bob Lawrence MCHS 66). I spent 2 years on the Coast Guard Cutter Rockaway home ported in New York City. The Rockaway was an Oceanographic Ship and we spent time cruising off the west coast of Africa and a summer in the Caribbean with our home port being Bridgetown, Barbados. The last 2 years was as station Yeoman at USCG Station Rockaway on Long Island, NY.

ger and on field at home games for the PR Director. After a couple of years I followed my father (an ex-FBI Agent) into the Security Field for Thoroughbred Race Tracks. I spent 10 years working summers at Monmouth Park in NJ as Director of Stable Security and went to Hialeah Park in Florida for the winter. In 1982 I moved to the same position year round at Calder Race Course and Gulfstream Park Race Track in Florida. I am now in my 21st year as Stall Superintend for the NY Tracks (Belmont-Aqueduct-Saratoga).
I have been married 16 years and have a 14 year of son. I live in Bayside, NY (NYC) and summer in Lake Luzerne, NY when I work at Saratoga.
