Richie's Story
Hope everyone is doing well. Doesn't seem like it has been 30 years. Well, after high school I attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University playing baseball for 4 years. My junior year of college I accepted Christ and not long after Barbie and I got married. Our daughter Daisha was born while we were in school. After graduation, joined the Okla. Army Nat'l Guard. Our son, Richie Jr, was born while I was at Ft Leonard Wood. After returning home, started teaching at Spartan School of Aeronautics for a few years but afterwards accepted a teaching/coaching job at Charles Page. Yes, I guess I made the big circle. Taught there for 12 years. My daughter, Daisha, graduated from there in 2000. In 2001 took the head baseball job at Skiatook High School. Life was ...Expand for more
interrupted in 02-03 when I was deployed to Bosnia for a peacekeeping mission in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Returning back, was fortunate enough to win a State Championship in 2004. My son, Richie transfered his senior year to Skiatook to be with dad. We had a great year. In 2005 accepted a job at Berryhill High School in and again was fortunate enough to win a State Championship in 2007. Over the last year I have been in training for a upcoming deployment to Iraq. I'll be leaving in late August 08 and should be home May 09. I have three beautiful granddaughters. Haylee 5, Madyson 2, and Jamison 8 months. Barbie and I still live in Sand Springs. Hope to here from past friends and pray for us as we pray for all of you. May God Bless you.
