Rick's Story

Hi All, It's been a long time since I left AK. Haven't had a chance to return until the upcoming 50th reunion. After graduation I joined the Navy and attended the Navy School of Music. Unfortunately that didn't work out too well so I retrained into Electronics. During my Navy career I was able to see a whole lot of the world. I lived in Italy fro 5 years and spent a couple of years in Newfoundland, Canada. I managed to visit South America, South Africa, several Western Pacific Countries and most of N...Expand for more
orthern Europe and the Mediterranean. I earned a commission and retired as a Lieutenant in 1986. I earned a BS and was hired by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) at Kennedy Space Center. I worked as a Materials and Process Engineer on the Space Shuttle Payloads contract and retired from Boeing in 2007. My wife, Deb, and now live in Southern New Mexico where we do pretty much as we please. We have 4 grown children. Three sons and a daughter, all great kids (read gainfully employed and out of the house).
