Rick's Story
Life
Math, science and computer science have taken me far in life, to 4 continents, 9+ different countries/city-states, many of the U.S. states, (Thanks Mr. Calcote and Ms. Hatch). English remains a spirited yet troubled favorite, thanks to Ms. Alford's Creative Writing class, helping me write several short stories (and many novels in my head). ege. Both sets gave timely encouragement, hope and approval for the things that have shaped me and made my life so fortunate. Married (again) to a wonderful woman named Jan, I'm now living in Portland, Oregon, working for a company named Mentor. As a software consultant, I'm on the road about 4-6 times a year (not too much, not too little, just right), so elec.mail is the best way to contact me. If you know my first_last name, it's easy enough to figure out where my in-box address is (hint: try "rick_cook" followed by an "at" sign, followed by "mentor.com"). I continue to look forward to a healthy, happy life surrounded by friends old and new. It was great fun seeing so many of you at the 20th Reunion. Feel free to write, and I'll do my best to respond. Looking forward to our next reunion!
