Rick's Story
After leaving Bowsher I worked for a while to earn college money. I then attended and graduated BGSU with a B.Ed. and a commission in the US Army Reserves through ROTC. After completing my active duty I became a school teacher in Language Arts and American History. I married my college sweetheart, also a school teacher. We began our family and had a daughter and son. Since teaching in those days made it impossible to support a family I left teaching and entered the business world. ing to use. I am now semi retired. I left business but am an active substitute teacher. In fact, currently I am completing twelve hours of graduate work in education to renew my professional license. I have been married to my wife for 42 years! I have four grandkids and a grand dog....just another kid! I live in Central Ohio, enjoy reading, music, camping, travelling, and telling stories. I have become the official story teller for Olentangy Schools at their third grade Pioneer Days outing each spring. I am a master at making up whoppers which the kids and teachers enjoy....despite the groans and eye rolling! Life is good but getting old sucks!
