Rick's Story
Hey y'all,
Yep, I finally broke down and spent the money, just like you. Part of me wanted to see who was doing what and maybe just a little bit to take advantage of possible networking. Really, just a little!
After growing up in Scottsdale, spending 10 years in frigid Flagstaff, then 15 more in the beautiful Sonoran Desert of Tucson, Idaho came a calling.
My wife's (posessive, not plural) career led us to Boise. WOW. It reminds me so much of Scottsdale in the old days, only we have four seasons and a whole bunch of rivers that have water. Our (she loves to hunt and fish and ski and bike and golf with me) love of the outdoors fits perfectly here. Although Boy-see is technically in a high desert area at only 2800 feet elevation, the 7000 foot ski resort is just 16 miles up the road. and they go forever in every direction but south.
We got hooked by the fly-fishing bug. There is so much more to it than trying to catch fish. The places, the quiet, the beauty and the constantly changing rivers and seasons are soul food for me. Then, the migrating Chinook and Steelhead come all the way from the Pacific. Hook just one of those and hold on tight.
Word is the Baby Boomers have officially discovered the secrets of Boise. Check any category pertaining to quality of life and Boise is in the top ten and usually the top five.
