Rick's Story
Been away from Classmates for some time. The last time I posted (about 1998,) I wrote I'd take emails for my brother, Dave, who'd had that terrible stroke in 1991, but he finally passed on in August 2003 in nearby El Cajon. He's inurned at lovely Ft Rosecrans National Cemetery, overlooking the Pacific.
I still live in Lemon Grove - seven miles from San Diego Harbor - and am enjoying life. Hope you all are too!
Sad to report that our dad passed on 1 November 2008 at age 79 in nearby La Mesa. Our mom passed in May 2007, also at age 79 and is inurned in Sun City West, Arizona. My sister Diane (and her family) an...Expand for more
d I are all that's left of the "nuclear" family so prized in the 50s. We're adjusting. Dad will be inurned at Ft Rosecrans on 12/29/08.
Meanwhile, I'm preparing for Christmas and playing my Taylor accoustic/electric guitars - 6 and 12-string. Leo Kottke's music is my favorite. Lynn Heckemeyer once made note of this musicality when Rich Jones and I performed " Snoopy and the Red Baron" about 1968 at the Park Wilshire Pool Facility (bless her heart.) That's a lovely memory...
Weather down here in Sandy Eggo is delightful on 12/6/08... Drop a line; would love to hear from friends in those years. :-)
