I owe each and every one of you a sincere apology. I am not fit to lead you. I have discovered, after years of introspect, that it is the responsibility of the elected and those seeking public favor to govern themselves in conduct and morality. I first learned this, however, in the spring of '86 on the Jr High Auditorium stage, when Dane Hall and I asked you to choose a Student Body President. I still feel as I did 24 years ago that the man for the job was Dane. Have you seen him or heard him preach? FIRE. When I talk to the AG people I know who have heard him, my favorite story is of the time when Dane blessed and preached in front of our new playground equipment at City Park! To continue, there are other players in our political leadership who were brokering a behind-the-scenes deal.
