Rick's Story

After GHS I joined the AF. Moved to CA in 76. I Met Mary on a blind date, 7/18/88 and convinced her to marry me 17 months later. Two great kids: Career started in the AF followed by too many years at NASA. Early 80's Shuttle Recovery team. Left NASA three times since 81. The last (and I mean LAST) time I was IT Branch Chief for most of the center. Then I took a position as IT Director at a local hospital. I am now the CTO at the US Naval Institute in Annapolis. Mary is a semi-retired hockey-mom, after 21y with an aerospace comp...Expand for more
any. Stays home with the kids when she isn't taking one to gymnastics 4 days a week or the other to hockey practice 3-4 days a week. I do miss Guilford, the beaches and bike rides. I don't miss shoveling driveways. Finally got my Cannondale still ride, at least once a year. My kids are my favorite pastime. Used to ditch school to go sailing. Now, if I were to ditch work, it would be to hang out with my kids. Love to hear form anyone from GHS or AF. My sister is still in Ct. We talk at least once a week and chat on AIM or Yahoo.
