Rick's Story
Life
In 1974 I went to CU-Boulder on an NROTC scholarship. Left school after the Navy said I couldn't stay in with epilepsy (onset at CU). Came back to Denver went to school again at Emily Griffith Opportunity School and got a job with Boettcher & Co in "Data Processing". I've worked with the same group of people (Dick Iriye, Herm Conder, Randy Vollmar, Dennis Kirkman) since that time (1977). I moved to Pittsburgh for 2 1/2 years (1996-1999) and moved back last February of 1999. I really love Pittsburgh but I have a new founded appreciation of our mountains now! ced in 1994. My daughters are now married and one graduated from college. I was remarried in 2002 and had one daughter but am now divorced again. My 5 year old daughter is a delight and my 10 year old step-son is amazingly smart. CRI was bought in 2001 by Rodger Riney (same guy that owns Scottrade.) We have moved from downtown to Westminster (Church Ranch & US36) so it's a much longer drive. Don't write code as much now but rather manage a group of 6 developers mostly centered around mutual fund processing and anything else the other managers are not familiar with. Randy, Herm, Sam, and Roy are still working alongside me.
I really enjoy volunteering at Carson Elementary School and I have gone back to school due to graduate in January 2009 with my Bachelors finally!
