Rick's Story
I graduated early from MVHS in 1975 at age 16. I hated high school with a passion, and couldn't wait to get out of there. Went to college at UC Santa Barbara, graduated in 1978 with a BA in Math at age 19.
After school, I got a good job in Santa Monica, where I lived for a few years, then moved back to the Bay Area. I started my own business doing software consulting in 1981.
I got married in 1988, and we had twin boys in 1989. My ...Expand for more
wife's name is Lynne, and my kids are William and Edward. I lived in Mountain View for a while, then built a house in Los Altos in 1995.
In Dec 2006, I emigrated to New Zealand with my wife and kids. I'm semi-retired now. I spent a bunch of time over the last year writing a technical book for fun. I spend my free time exploring and enjoying the beautiful area around where I live.
I turned 50 this year. It's been a long, rough road!
