Rick's Story
Life
Since high school, I went to Florida State (go 'Noles) where I played baseball all four years. I then played 3 years of minor league baseball with the Oakland A's before I injured my shoulder and my career was over. I've lived all over the US and been able to travel to many countries, but I came back to Georgia in 1997 and have lived in Cumming for the past 4 years.
I was married to Jackie in 2000, and we have two children. Colby, my son, is 5 1/2 and just started kindergarten. Emma, my daughter, is 2 1/2 and a little 'princess'. We also have two dogs - Pugs named Elvis and Fonzie. My wife stays at home (we're very lucky in that regard), while I work at McKesson Corporation in Alpharetta.
We live close to the lake and enjoy lots of outdoor activites, but mainly tennis (we both play competitively), swimming, the occasional trip to ...Expand for more
the lake for wakeboarding, and anything the kids enjoy (walking at the park, riding our bikes, etc). We also like to travel, although taking little ones on long plane rides has curbed our appetite for far-away trips...at least for now.
When the Reunion announcement came out, I was very excited to see everyone and catch up with some folks that I haven't seen since we graduated. Unfortunately when the date changed, the reunion conflicted with a trip that I've had planned for over a year and I won't be able to attend; I'm pretty bummed about that. Regardless, I hope anyone that wants to catch up with me does so via classmates.com.
Anyway, I hope I can catch up with some of you soon and I'll try to keep my profile updated regularly so we don't go another twenty years saying, "I wonder whatever happened to...".
