Ricki's Story
Life,
High School is an emotional whirlwind for any teenager and i was glad when I graduated. Looking back, the friends, experiences and especally the music was a magical time that I didnt appreciate until later in life. Presently, I have kept in touch with only one person from that era but she didn't attend central. I wish I had participated in more school activities and because of this when my daughter attended Central (who would have guessed) I made sure she was active and in her senior year was president of the speech and debate team.
I wish that I had attended one of our graduation anniversary events, but due to being shy back then and still now I was hesitant to participate.
Upon graduation, I went to work and to night school and finally got a degree in nursing. ...Expand for more
Realizing the importance of education I went back to get my BSN and I think I had a pretty successful career. I am now retired.
To any or all who do remember me, thanks for the memories!
Things havent changed that much since high school--drugs, not as much sex, and rock n roll or any good music. I have always been an animal person, and mine give me solice most of the time, so a good walk is relaxing. Going to the gym believe it or not is relaxing for me as well. Always feels great later.
After surviving cancer i am just happy to be here and definitely appreciate things more especially traveling. Disneyland or world is still soo much fun because I am still a kid at heart but hopefully my next big trip will be Europe while I am still able.
Enjoy life its too short!!!!
