Rita Lyons's Story

Rita Lyons presently lives in Jupiter, Florida during the winter and in Laconia, Nh from May to October on Lake Winnipesaukee. Lost my wonderful husband, Brig. General Kenneth Pascoe, last year and it's a big adjustment, being alone, after all these years. Life will never be the same without him! Thank God for my wonderful family. Between us, we had 9 children, 12 grandchildren and now 4 great-grandsons! They are spread out all over the country fro...Expand for more

I retired from my teaching career in 1992 (Westborough, MA Public Schools) and am enjoying life on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH in the summer and Jupiter, FL in the winter. Rita Lyons's schools include Everett High School, Salem State, B.S.; and Worcester State, MEd Rita likes travelling and cruises. One of Rita Lyons's favorite quotes is:"Live each day as if it's your last!".

Came into the Old City of Jerusalem throughthe Damaascus Gate and exited the Jaffa Gate, through the old walls of the city.
Last 4 Stations of the Cross are inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre which was built on top of Calvary
Slab where Jesus' body was put when taken down from the Cross and annointed before burial.

Second Station of the Cross.. Jesus is given his Cross to Carry
Walking the route to Calvary .. called Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, Israel. Took us over an hour .. uphill to Calvary
Entering Palestinian territory to get to Bethlehem.. Our Jewish Israeli guide and bus was not allowed in. We had to transfer into a Palestinian bus.
