Rita's Story
The first few years after high school are not worth mentioning. I married Mike Larson in 1973 and have enjoyed a very loving, secure and loyal relationship.
The first 16 years we were in Amarillo where I worked at Amarillo National Bank and Mike worked at Mesa Petroleum. In 1989, Mesa moved us to Dallas/Fort Worth. We were there until 2003 when we decided to "retire" to Angel Fire, NM.
I have never worked so hard as I have since we retired. We bought a home care taking service and real estate agency, then added property management a year later. Last year we bought a...Expand for more
RE/MAX Real Estate franchise and we got even busier. In the mean time, we built two log spec homes and our log home. Currently we are in the process of building retail space and condos on a very nice piece of land on the way to the ski hill.
Our son, Will, is in California, unmarried, working in the lab at a hospital. Our daughter, Addie, is in Austin, TX, married to a musician, Steve Butts, from New Zealand. Addie works for us as an Associate Broker and with our property management renting properties.
We have no grandchildren.
