Songwriter/Producer/Sound Designer
Award-winning Sound Designer, Music Composer and Dialogue Director, Rob King has composed and produced music, dialogue and sound for popular video and PC games and film for more than 14 years. His recent sound, directing and music credits include the hit games Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Driver: Parallel Lines, Scarface: The World is Yours, Resevoir Dogs, Call of Duty 3(PSP), Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam, Jade Empire, Area 51 and Advent Rising. During his expansive career, King has held the reigns as Music Composer, Voice Director, Sound Designer, Mixer and Audio Director on more than 100 console and PC video games.
A Grand-Prize winner of the 2004 Yamaha International Music Production Contest and winner of the 2004 Los Angeles Music Awards for "Best Engineer" and "Modern Rock Album of the Year" for his work on the CD Addictions & Scars by his band Red Delicious. The CD was Co-Produced with good friend Chris Vrenna (Tweaker, NIN, Manson, Gnarls Barkley)and mixed by Jack Joseph Puig at Ocean Way Studios, Hollywood, CA. g has completed sound, dialogue and re-recording mixer work for the feature film High Hopes with Director Joe Eckardt and producer Danny Trejo which debuted March 2006 at the Phoenix Film Festival and is set to release in 2008 by Lion's Gate Films. Currently, he is wrapping up several projects including a new CD by the band The Magazines which he Produced, Recorded and Mixed as well as TV and theatrical trailers for the films "Lucky You" , "We Are Marshall" & "300" for Warner Bros.,"Pathfinder" 2007 for 20th Century Fox/Fox Sports Promotion and has three new video game Franchises due out in 2008-2009
Recently Rob and long time writing partner Paul Romero scored the "Evil Faces of Cinema" Montage for the 2006 "Countdown to Oscar's" preshow montage for the 2006 Oscar's that aired on ABC. The montage featured their music editied to famous clips of "Evil Characters" from various films such as Star Wars, Silence of the Lambs, Dracula, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Mummy and more.
Rob has also had 3 top ten Billboard Remixes for his dance production work with partner Steve Baca (also a member of Red Delicious).
