Rob's Story
Life
A brief history:
After High school I joined the Navy and traveled the globe on 2 aircraft carriers, The USS Saratoga and the USS Kitty Hawk. I was able to visit Spain, Italy, Sicily, Yugoslavia, France, Monaco, Greece, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Phillipines, Singapore, Tailand all these places in just 3 years.
After the Navy I went to Hartnell College for 1 year and then DeAnza College for an additional year. I never finish my degree but it hasn't hurt me noticably.
I have been in either sales or marketing for the past 25 years selling to companies around the globe. My work has taken me to China, Tiawan, Germany, England, The Neitherlands, Italy. My single largest sale was for 3.5 million dollars to Siemans Solar a global organization and was a pinnicle of my sales carrer.
Today I own my own business along with my brother, Doug Slater, in Scottsdale Arizona. We are custom pool builders, you can find our website "deserttropics.com" to view our work. As you might imagine we are very busy but enjoying the freedom of working for ourselves.

a wonderful family and so many close friends throughout the US and the world. I have truely been blessed in love, family and friends. Being the shy one "as someone at the reunion remebered me as being" I feel that I am much further along in my life than I could have ever thought having grown up in Salinas California so many years ago.
I hope that all of you who I may have known or who have known me are as fortunate as I have been over these past 30 years.
Although my memory of those years in North Salinas High isn't always vivid, due to my foolishnees and bad habits, I do have some very found memories of those that I was fortunate enough to have hung out with on the grass at lunch, during Younglife, in class, outside at work or just smiling at while passing by in the halls of the school.
