Rob's Story

Currently I am the Front of House Audio concert engineer for Queen Latifah and for the last two years as the Monitor engineer for Natalie Cole & Roberta Flack. I have toured nationally and internationally with these artists. I still play guitar and record constantly with new bands while I am at home in CT. I am now also promoting concerts. In the past from 2002 thru 2007 I worked at the Mohegan Sun arena and Cabaret as FOH audio engineer. I have lived in Monterey CA, Orlando FL, and Boston MA and have been lucky to have toured through all 50 United states as well as Australia with all the major symphonies including the Sydney , Perth, Melbourne and Tasmanian orchestras, Italy, Switzerland at the Montreux jazz fest for two tours, South America , Europe , New Zealand, Hong Kong Tasmania, Holland Italy, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Japan. .At Maloney, one teacher stands out to me. nd guitar and actually cared about her students no matter what their interests were.....she used to let me sneak into the auditorium with my guitar and let me play through the very nice now vintage ...fender amp during my lunch break........that was amazing.......i was able to listen to music reverberating in a large hall at an early age. Funny, I still do that today except its during soundcheck at a concert with 15,000 people........funny how life changes. Some teachers are awesome. Others .......not so much......i have heard that a couple of the teachers at Maloney were fired due to basically being either irresponsible or just foolish. Go figure....one of them being a music teacher I had who treated me like dirt because i wasnt in "the school band"......i liked to rock......oh well.... . .............Here's To all of the quiet kids who didn't need to be popular to have a good time .....You know who you are !
