Robbi's Story
Life
After graduation I got married, by 19, had my first child at 20, a daugther Shannon, then had 2 more children, daughter Jeanne and a son Adam. I worked part-time at Settle Tire as a bookeeper until I was 35. Then I started working for the Shelton School Dist. as a Secretary. I really liked the work but found that I enjoyed working with the Special needs students. So I worked mornings as a secretary and afternoon as an Educational Assistant. Now I have been full-time in Special-Ed. for the last 11 years and I love my job. I like to take classes on anything to help me deal with our students. dog, take my grandchildren to the lake or park,go camping,work at home improvements(never ending), and sometimes just relax. My children are all grown and on their own. Shannon works as a State Trooper, Jeanne is married with 2 beautiful daughters and works for Sensaria, and Adam works for Target Warehouse and has a son. I love my family, my job, my friends, and live life the best I can every day.
School
If I had it to do over againg I would. I would be more organized, more outgoing, more assertive, and would have studied a lot harder. I would have continued on to college and became a Special Ed. teacher. I love my job as an E.A. in Special Ed. but we don't make enough money for as hard as we work.
