Life
lived life hard fast and furious for a good while. married twice--both failed. no kids, became workaholic and suffered mild heart attack and a near miss on a second one, recently had #3 which did a lot more damage than I needed to have, but doing well after finally learning to slow down and enjoy the roses. I probably will not be remembered by many, but to those who do, I say howdy. have not made any of the reunions because of either work, being out of state or no contact. missed the one in 93 by a month. went to the school and they told me about it. somebody flubbed and never set up the one for 03. have lived in several states and prefer the northwest to any region of the u.s. I like to salt water fish, so I like the ocean and the climate that goes with it.
School
after transferring from kinder high to lagrange in time for junior/senior years I completed school. afraid I wasn't the greatest student, but did excel in typing and a new class they had at the time of office machines. had no idea at the time that they were preparing us for computers because in 73 they were big and bulky, but with the key punch system we were actually programming. things have changed. I wasn't very popular around school since the sense of humor I had didn't allow for popularity. not that I didn't get along well with other students, but being a practical joker that would goose a person in the ribs when least expected, I really wasn't liked much by several people. had my own little clique that h...Expand for more
ung together and afraid that their popularity was about the same as mine, although they weren't the joker types. just not popular. most people thought I had a short fuse and was likely to explode at any second, therefore the nickname dynamite, but I was one that would give warnings and when pushed beyond that then you had a problem on your hands. only one fella really pushed me to that limit and after most of the smoke cleared he didn't want to put on gloves because he wanted no more of me. we became friends and had no more problems after that and I wasn't picked on so much either.
Workplace
I was a jack of all trades. I worked deck hand on boats, floors on drilling rigs, building maintenance man, heavy equipment operator, lumber mills--puller/grader, sand blaster/painter, security officer. what ever needed to be done I could do it since was mechanically inclined, so I even trained as an automotive mechanic.
Military
mos 53550 corrosion control specialist(painter). trained at lackland, sheppard afb, then stationed at england afb la. for a few months and then transferred to strategic air command at travis afb cal. to be with wife. dumbest thing I did was get married to a waf. worked on A7 corsairs, and KC135 strato tankers. also worked on a couple T37 trainers.
Divorced first time in 75, got married again in 79--divorced again in 82 and single ever since. passing fancy once or twice since but nothing serious. now too decrepit to worry about it with back and heart problems.
