Robert's Story
Life
After moving to the SF Bay area, CA from St Petersburg FL in 1963, I graduated from Campolindo in '66 and attended 2 years of college before Uncle Sam tapped me for military service during Vietnam. Completed education in computer systems and electronics technology. Worked for several electronics companies in the Bay Area following military duty. Started two technology companies in the late 70's that were eventually acquired in the mid '80's. Moved to Columbus, GA in '97 with the idea of semi-retirement. Was offered a wonderful opportunity with a CA tech company while still being able to live out in the GA country-side. Currently traveling 1/4 million miles yearly teaching and resolving technical problems. Life is good!

Update… after moving from Columbus, Georgia to Indianapolis where I lived for 14 years, I have moved to Ocala, Florida… a much more temperate climate. It is located sufficiently inland to be protected from the worst of the hurricanes that invariably pass by but close enough to enjoy some of the finest beaches the world has to offer. Ocala is known as the horse capital of the world (those in Lexington, Kentucky may dispute this) and is host to some of the most beautiful horse ranches. The drag racing museum operated by Big Daddy Don Garlits is here and houses some of the best antique 1/4 mile speed machines dating back to the 1950s. And, of course, the weather is superb almost all of the time! I live in a retirement community that offers a ton of amenities and activities and keeps the required home chore’s manageable. Let me know if you’re in the area… plenty of room for guests and I’d love to visit!
