Life July. 2012
Now I'm 65 like a lot of you. Medicare enrolled and still planning on retirement!!!
However, a lot has changed in 2 years since I last updated my story.
Last years' vacation was to the Smokies to hike and relax in a cabin in Townsend, TN. Should of taken the bikes, but those hills would probably do us in. Took great pictures of waterfalls and got up close and personal with some brown bears who were fortunately more intent on eating acorns than me!!!
I am now on staff at Harvest Bible Chapel - Naperville responsible for the church's building program. Having been let go from Pepsico in March was the greatest thing that could of happened to me. It opened up this opportunity to serve my Lord at work!!! I now go to a place where ev...Expand for more
eryone has the same goal, to make disciples of Jesus Christ.. Working 10 minutes from home instead of 40 does have it's advantages. I'm probably at work longer, but I spent time here anyway volunteering.
Added a new granddaughter in June, youngest daughter Emily moved to Brooklyn, NY, Ehrin and family moved to Carlsbad,CA from Oceanside, CA and all were here for Amiee's new daughter - reunion!!!
Golf, biking and hiking are my activities for now and we haven't decided on what to do for out 40th in Nov. Probably an island or cruise in between construction projects.
Again, I urge you to realize where your true riches lie and that how we serve others as Christ came to serve and save us, makes all the difference in what life is all about.
