Here we are, and with many of us now older than our parents were during those high school years. Congratulations to all of us for making it to middle-age. It doesn't seem like so much time has passed since we lined up in our caps and gowns, and yet so much has happened since then that it almost seems like a lifetime ago. I may have rushed to put as much distance between my youth and my future, but in doing so I got to experience the real world in full force. I did the college thing for awhile, have had many interesting lines of work, and have been with the USPS since the mid-90s (they actually pay me to wander the streets).
