Robert's Story
Life
After graduation I went into the Navy for 4 years. Stationed at Whidbey Island Wa. I was a jet engine mechanic. Had a blast but never looked back. After that I got an A&P mechanics license and was an aircraft mechanic for 5 years in Phoenix Az. Loved the heat, but the company went out of business. Ended up back in Colorado and after drifting for a while. I landed a job in the high tech industry where I've been ever since. Finally got married to a lovely woman (Kathy) who I love and who drives me a little crazy to keep me on my toes. I adopted 3 girls ages 21(Amanda),15(Debra) and 11(Danelle). We had a baby boy (James) who helps give some testosterone in this estrogen filled house. He is 5. I have 1 grandson and another grandchild in the oven. the zoo for we have our fill of animals, and kids. We live in Florence Colorado and love it a whole lot. A few years ago we bought a soft serve ice cream truck which my wife runs and I maintain. It's fun to operate and watch the young ones do the ice cream truck dance as we come down the street.
Military
I had a blast in the Navy. It wasn't the Navy itself, but the friends and the job. It was great partying and hanging out with a bunch of guys who would cover your back and not stab it. I used to hang out with Matt Wolters, Bob Sefried, Kononitz, Bill Bodish, Mark Baskins, and a bunch of other guys who's name's I can't remember off the top of my head. I also had a blast being an AD. I ended up working on planes with an A&P license for 5 years after the Navy. The flight deck was fun, but mostly I miss the friendships...
